The Red Ring of Death Affects Us All
Over the last few days, my Xbox 360 has started flashing the infamous Red Ring of Death. Usually when this happens, the console never recovers and needs to be repaired or replaced. I just got off the phone with a Microsoft helper-bot, who’s sending me an empty box to put the remains of my beloved 360 in.
The good news is, I should have a new, functional machine within 2-3 weeks. That’s a long time to go without Rock Band, but at least it’s not going to cost me a dime. I think pet stores should start offering this program for hamsters.
And at least I’m not going through this alone. Audio just went through it as well, so hopefully he’ll be able to counsel me through the pain. He works for NESN, so I’m hoping he can get Manny Ramirez to call and lift my spirits. As far as I’m concerned, it’s sort of a Make-a-Wish situation, except it’s my console that’s critically ill.
